COMMUTER STUDENTS

Live nearby? You can attend Summer Session as a commuter student. Join a community of students and staff that come to Stanford from all over the world, bringing with them a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences to share.

Resources

  • Access the same on-campus facilities—from libraries to health and wellness centers—as a residential student.
  • Attend programming connecting you to a larger Bay Area network of students.
  • Connect with staff dedicated to supporting the needs of commuter students.

Commuter students* take a minimum of 3 units (one course).
*All students must take a minimum of 8 units if they require an I-20 from Stanford.
